I started with writing and content, but I always leaned toward systems, people, and what drives decisions. I co-ran a fashion brand for a while, which taught me how to sell something that people don’t need but deeply want. After that, I moved into business development, working across tech and now finance, where trust, timing, and positioning matter more than volume.
An Interview With Fatemeh
● Precision in how they think and speak
● Self-respect without the need to prove anything
● People who’ve had to build from scratch, quietly
I’d lower the social cost of saying “I don’t know.” More honest uncertainty would improve nearly everything, business, politics, and relationships.
● Simone de Beauvoir, to dismantle the unspoken rules, not through outrage, but with precision.
● Cate Blanchett, to hold tension, duality, and elegance in the same breath without ever explaining it.
● Alain de Botton, to cut through the noise and ask the one question nobody else at the table would dare to.
In a space where nothing demands a response. Maybe walking somewhere unfamiliar, or cooking for someone who doesn’t need entertaining.
● Create a version of work that doesn’t drain me
● Build a portable, long-term personal brand
● Expand my international business development experience
● Anywhere I can disappear and still feel like myself
● Somewhere with markets, late-night food, and no curated experience
● A kitchen with the right ingredients and no phone signal
Making something quiet but exact, brand positioning, storytelling, or a business that doesn't depend on convincing people who don’t get it.
● Live in at least 3 cities where I don’t speak the native language fluently
● Speak 4 languages well enough to argue in all of them
● Build something that survives distance
To know which moments actually matter while they’re still happening.
